The Canadian Amateur Rowing Association honored five Brockville Rowing Club members at the 100th annual CARA annual meeting in Windsor: Bill Tooker, Ben TeKamp, Moe Cody, Wes Curan, and Doug Marshall. Marshall received the CARA centennial medal.

Up, up and away! Brockville coxswain Craig Miller reached new heights wehn his victorious crew gave him the traditional dunking after winning the junior and senior 145lb championships a the Royal Canadian Henley in 1981. Crew members were Paul Naylor, Chris Marshall, John McKenna, Tom Beckering, Jim Sabourin, Dave Henderson, Pat Davis, and Jim McKenna.

City council and the BRC honored Betty Craig Dolores Young, and Ben TeKamp for participating in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Brian McRobie is on the left. As the winner of a silver medal at the Los Angeles Olympics, Betty Craig achieved the highest level of any BRC athelete. Craig, Young, and TeKamp were aslo part of the Candadian Rowing Team at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.

Brockville Collegiate Institute captured the national high school junior lightweight cox four women's event in 1982. Twink Fodey coach, Melanie Sutcliffe, Jane Billings, Roxanne Grabel, Marjorie Strayner, and Tina Montgomery cox.
